January 2012-January 2015, I completed a PhD dissertation at the University of Oslo. The thesis is entitled
Portals to the Past. An archaeology of doorways, dwellings, and ritual practice
The PhD dissertation was successfully defended in September 2015. The abstract and introduction can be downloaded here. The dissertation, in two volumes, is available in Norway through the university libraries.
H.M. The King’s Gold Medal
In June 2016, it was announced that the dissertation won H.M. The King’s Gold Medal for scientific inquiry by younger researchers of excellence.
The medal will be awarded in Sept., 2016.
